A full suite of branding, web development, film and animation for an outstanding data agency.
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council needed a film to encourage local engagement in their plans for housebuilding in the borough over the next 20 years. They wanted to reach a broad audience and explain in everyday language what the local plan is trying to do for the future of the community.
A mix of animation and interviews was our first suggestion. But after getting to know our clients at the council and their audience it became clear that pure animation was the best way forward. We designed the film using clear language and to appeal to those who traditionally don’t engage with the local plan process. This meant we could present the council’s message in a succinct and friendly way, helping information to be absorbed.
To achieve their goal, it was important that Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council took a new approach with this film and had their own visual style. We encouraged them out of their comfort zone to create a piece that engages a wider and younger audience. The end result received positive feedback and stands out from the rest of the public sector crowd.
