This series of intimate documentaries reveal the history and challenges of owning and running Britain’s historic houses.
Contact is a charity that supports families with disabled children. They were looking for a simple but effective film to raise awareness amongst the families they support of a virus that causes coughs and colds in very young children. The virus can lead to serious breathing difficulties in young children with underlying health conditions or complex medical needs.
At Indigo we instantly knew that an animated film would be the most effective way for Contact to raise awareness. An animated film can convey a lot of information in a short space of time whilst navigating sensitive issues and communicating to a diverse audience.
The subject matter meant that the video needed to be ready quickly. The virus circulates in autumn and winter, which was only weeks away. Contact were highlighting the symptoms of the virus, how to prevent it and where to get help, so our swift response was essential. We worked with Contact to refine the script, storyboard and animation style to produce several versions of the animation for their website and social media in time to raise awareness with families.
We designed the animated film to allow for shorter edits, ideal for social media. Working in this way adds longevity and versatility to the content.
We had no previous experience of producing an animation, but Indigo's expertise and guidance helped us feel reassured and confident that we’d have an excellent end-product on time and within budget. Indigo offered solutions to our initial concerns, like how to successfully communicate what was quite complex information. Our animation was played 14,000 times in its first few months and is a useful asset we’ll share year on year with the families we support.
